Our Story
The Roots of Twin Lakes Farm
Twin Lakes Farm and Ranch began back in 1996 when Tom and Colleen Pearson started their small hobby farm in Athol, Idaho. Tom had grown up surrounded by animals and knew he wanted to share the farm life with his new wife. Together, they began raising animals and growing their little homestead.
In 1998, they welcomed their daughter Melissa, followed by their son Caleb in 2001. In 2003, the family moved to Twin Lakes, Idaho, where their ranch grew to include chickens, ducks, cows, and goats. They began selling fresh eggs, milk, and beef directly from their home. That same year, their son Tommy was born, and in 2006, they completed their family with the arrival of their youngest, Michael.
Over the years, the Pearsons expanded their operation to include cutting, baling, and selling hay, along with various types of livestock feed— all from their small but thriving ranch in Twin Lakes.
With hard work and dedication, Tom and Colleen were eventually able to grow their business further and open a full feed store on Diagonal Road in Rathdrum, Idaho. Every one of their children has worked at the hay yard as they were growing up and they all continue to be part of the family business today.
Now, the next generation is carrying on the legacy. Melissa and her husband Trygge have established Twin Lakes Farm in Loon Lake, Washington, with the mission of bringing high-quality, affordable hay and grain to small farms throughout the surrounding area.
At Twin Lakes Farm, we are proud to offer non-GMO, unsprayed, farm-fresh hay and grain— grown with care and a commitment to quality.
